Gov Matawalle felicitates Muslims on Eid el-Kabir

His Excellency, Dr Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun, Barden Hausa, Shattiman Sakkwato, Obapero Ile-Olua of Ile-Ife) felicitate with Muslim Ummah in the state on the ospicious occasion of eid-al-adha celebrations.

Governor Matawalle said the occasion marks another important period of the Islamic calendar where Allah has opened another floodgate of mercy for his servants, an opportunity we must all grab.

“As we mark the bountiful Arafat day, and subsequent day to mark this year’s eid, we must reflect back on all the happenings in our dear state so that we can use this time to put our priorities right for the next year ahead of us”, Governor Matawalle advised.

“We are faced with challenges of insecurity and other life threatening challenges in our society. As we fast tomorrow, we must not relent in supplicating to the Almighty to ease our hardship and bring the end of our sufferings”.

“This message must reach our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land to equally supplicate for our redemption as they stand tomorrow on the mount of Arafat”, Governor Matawalle appealed.

I also call on all and sundry at home to observe this period peacefully and within the confines of the law; it is our duty as Muslims to show good example and share good habits in every way we can”, the Governor advised.

“While I wish everone a momentous occasion, I want to assure you that my administration will continue to do everything possible to serve the state better. I pray that God will answer our prayers for a lasting peace in the state and a peaceful political transition early next year” Governor Matawalle prayed.
