Following the death of Dr. Bala Ahmed (Tafidan Nasarawa), which sad event occurred late Monday, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule was received by Nasarawa Local Government Council Chairman, Hon. Mohammed Sani Otto where the duo joined the Emir of Nasarawa, HRH, Alh. Ibrahim Usman Jibril at his Place.
Having attended the funeral prayer of Tafida, led by Ustaz Umar Usman Baba, Governor Sule extended his condolence to the Emir, Tafida’s family, people and government of Nasarawa over the colossal loss.
Stating that Tafida was his old time friend, Engr. Sule recalled the kind, humble and generous live Tafidan Nasarawa lived. He further described his death as a loss to Nasarawa State – given his enormous contributions as a statesman, educationist and former honourable Commissioner for Works, Housing, Transport and Finance.
Governor Sule prayed for his repose to rest in Jannah while beseeching Him to comfort his bereaved family.
Hon. Mohammed Sani Otto also extolled the virtues of the seasoned banker, University don and economist of great standing. Praying for Allah’s mercy and Grace upon the soul of Tafida, who served as MD, Aso Savings and Loans, the Dan-Amanan Nasarawa said the sad event had creade a wide vacuum.
Appreciating the duo for commiserating with Nasarawa Emirate Council, Alh. Ibrahim Usman Jibril, Emir of Nasarawa added that Dr Tafida was a dependable pillar whose support for meaningful development was visible.
The Emir recalled the receipient of Member of the Order of the Niger’s Merit Award’s input in the meeting he convened last night.
