Hajj: Kwara refunds 2023 pilgrims N80,000 each

Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Ilorin has commenced payment of 80,000 each to its 2023 Hajj pilgrims as excess funds for pilgrims that paid N3million during the 2023 hajj registration.

The refunds exercise is taking place throughout the 16 local government areas of the state

Kwara State Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrasaq had approved the sum of One Hundred and Eighty Million Naira (180,000,000:00) for the refund to 2,300 Pilgrims that paid the sum of 3millions Naria for this year’s Hajj.

The Executive Secretary Alh Abdulsalam Abdulkadir thanked the State Government for the timely released of funds which enable the pilgrims to have directs access to the excess money paid by some of them as Hajj Fares.

However, all the affected pilgrims were advised to come along to the Board office with their original receipts for the collections of their 80,000.00 refunds.

The Executive Secretary, Alh Abdulsalam Abdulkadir said the payment of the refunds begins today Monday 11Th September, 2023 and that there is no closing date yet
