
A housewife, Zainab Nuhu, on Tuesday agreed to return to her matrimonial home after intervention by a Sharia Court in Magajin Gari, Kaduna.
Zainab Nuhu had sued her husband, Hamisu Abdullahi, before the court over alleged assault.
She told the court that she was fed up with the situation she was in and would want the marriage to be dissolved.
Abdullahi, who didn’t deny the claim, begged the court to give them a chance to settle out of court.
The court had given the couple a chance to try reconciliation and present a report of settlement
Both parties submitted the report to court.
In the report of settlement, Abdullahi agreed to stop hitting his wife and also agreed to respect her as a wife.
The Judge Malam Yakubu Abdullahi accepted the report of the settlement and used it as consent judgment. (NAN)
