I don’t know why Masari’s name was removed from ministerial list — Radda

Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda has said that the name of his predecessor Aminu Bello Masari was among those he nominated to be appointed as ministers, but added that he does not know why he was dropped from the list.

The governor said this while speaking to BBC Hausa in an interview partly aired on Thursday.

“President Bola Tinubu asked us as governors to forward three ministerial nominees to him for appointment into his cabinet. I gave three names. But God ultimately decided.

“I forwarded the names of our former Governor Aminu Bello Masari; he was first on the list. Then Hannatu Musawa was second while Arc Ahmed Musa Dangiwa was third.”

Radda said he never thought Katsina will be given two ministerial slots.

Dateline Nigeria reports that many were surprised when Masari failed to make it to the cabinet of President Tinubu like his counterparts in Kebbi, Jigawa, Plateau and Zamfara did.
