JD Usman emerges provost of Kano Anti-Corruption Institute

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has approved the appointment of Dr Ja’afaru Dahiru Usman as the Provost of Kano State Anti-Corruption Institute (KANCI), a subsidiary of Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCAC).

The appointment, which took effect from December 24, 2020, followed the recommendation of the Executive Chairman PCAC to Governor Ganduje, according to a statement by Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, Permanent Secretary, Research, Evaluation and Political Affairs, Office of the Secretary to the Kano State Government.

“Your appointmest into this exalted position of immense public trust and confidence was informed by the recognition of your professional competence, proven integrity, academic excellence, patriotic disposition as well as the exhibited commitment at uplifting the educational standard of the State. I have the conviction that these attributes will be availed for purposeful conduct of your assignment at the new lnstitution.

“It is my ardent prayer that your appointment to head the anti-graft institution in the state would greatly assist the administration in realizing its vision of enhancing quality training of manpower of the commission and other personalities from various sectors, especdally on how to address the menace of corrupt practices for the overall economic development of the State.

“I therefore warmly congratulate you on the appointment and pray for Allah (SWT) to continue to accord you the necessary audacity and foresight to adequately confront the challenges of the Office.”
