Magajin Garin Sokoto Hassan Danbaba passes on

Magajin Garin Sokoto Alh Hassan Danbaba, a grand son of the late premier of Northern Nigeria, Ahmadu Bello (Sardauna of Sokoto) has passed on.

He died Saturday morning at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna where he was taken to shortly after he slumped, sources informed Dateline Nigeria.

Danbaba, a son of late Aishatu Ahmadu Bello, and the 13th Magajin Garin Sokoto will be buried today after janaza at the Sultan Muhammadu Bello mosque Sokoto.

Born in 1970, he was in April 2020 appointed a part-time chairman of the governing board of the Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority (SRRBDA). He was also the chairman of Stonehedge Hotels and a non-executive director of ThisDay.

A senior title holder and a kingmaker in the Sokoto Sultanate, Danbaba is survived by three wives and six children (a son and five daughters).
