The Management of Kaduna Electric has pledged to support the investment
promotion initiatives of the Kaduna state Government by ensuring adequate power
supply to all new industrial zones and clusters established by the State Government.
The pledge was made today in Kaduna by the Chief Marketing and Revenue
Assurance Officer of Kaduna Electric, Alhaji Abubakar Jimeta when he led the
Management team of the Company on a working visit to the Kaduna state
Investment Promotion Agendy.
Alhaji Abubakar Jimeta congratuated the Agency for its efforts in attracting both
foreign and domestic investors to the State and stressed the need for closse
collaboration between the Agency and the Electricity Distribution Company.
“The effectiveness of the partnership will bring more value to the State and make the
State Government, the investors and the electricity Company hapPY, he asserted.
He called on the Kaduna State Government to always avail Kaduna Electric with all
ts investment programmes on time to enable the Company plan ahead to meet the electricity needs of the existing and potential investors.
Earlier in his remarks, the Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Investment
Promotion Agency, KADIPA, Khalil Nur Khalil announced that the Kaduna State
Government has established new Green Industrial and an Agro Allied Industrial
Lones in Kangimi and Kaduna-Abuja road respectively as well as five other industrial clusters across the State, calling for more partnership with Kaduna Electric to drive nome tne industrialisation effort of the Government.
He promised to ensure that Kaduna Electric partipates in all investment promotion initiatives of the State Government government going forward.
Mr. Khalil stated that the State Government has done a lot to boost the State’s economy through PPPs, privatisation, etc.
High point of the session is the formation of a six man Technical Committee made
up of representatives from the two Organisations to further deepen and consolidate the partnership.
