The Deputy Chief of Staff (Deputy Governor’s Office), Kaduna State, Barr. James A. Kanyip says he is not aware of his nomination as the running mate of Senator Uba Sani, Kaduna State APC gubernatorial candidate.
This is contained in a statement by Peter Ibrahim, Special Assistant (Media and Communication) in the Office of the Deputy Governor.

“The attention of the Deputy Chief of Staff (Deputy Governor’s Office), Kaduna State, Barr. James A. Kanyip has been drawn to the news making rounds in the social and traditional media about his nomination as the running mate of Senator Uba Sani, the Kaduna State APC Gubernatorial Candidate.
“As a result of these rumors, he has been inundated with phone calls and messages.
“This is to inform the public that the Deputy Chief of Staff is not aware that he has been nominated as the running mate of Senator Uba Sani, and would therefore like to disassociate himself from the on-spreading rumors.
“Barr. Kanyip believes that Senator Uba Sani and the Party will make their choice at the appropriate time and make such selection public.
“He thanks the Party members for their good wishes, but advises them to refrain from spreading unsubstantiated stories capable of undermining the cohesion in the Party,” the statement said.
