The Kaduna State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has announced the passing of its former chairman Bashir Chedi.
In a statement in Kaduna, the NIPR said Bashir Chedi, a fellow and council member of the institute, died on Monday, August 25, 2025.
His funeral prayer (janaza) will hold today after Zuhr (noon) prayer at the Yahaya Road Juma’at Mosque, Unguwar Rimi GRA Kaduna.
“Bashir Chedi was a highly respected figure in the public relations industry, known for his dedication and commitment to the profession.
“He served in various capacities, including Secretary and Chairman of the NIPR Kaduna State Chapter, and was a member of several national standing committees.
“He was the Chairman Chapters relations committee. Chedi was also a Fellow of NIPR and had attended numerous conferences and training sessions locally and internationally,
“As Director of Corporate Communication, Commercial, and Public Relations at Dornier Aviation Nigeria, Chedi played a significant role in shaping the company’s reputation and maintaining its professional integrity.
“His expertise in crisis management, event management, corporate and government relations, and corporate social responsibility strategy earned him recognition in the industry
“May Allah grant Bashir Chedi’s soul eternal.rest in Aljannah Firdaus Amen. May Allah give the immediate family and all his colleagues in Dornier Aviation and NIPR the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, ameen,” the statement read.
