A Kano-based Islamic scholar Dr Ahmad Muhammad Bamba (popularly known as Dr Ahmad BUK) has passed on.
Dr Ahmad died on Friday at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital Kano where he spent a day at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He was 79.
His janaza (funeral) will hold at the Darul Hadith Mosque, Tudun Yola by (1.30pm) after Friday prayer, his son Ahmad Muhammad Ahmad said.
Dr Ahmad, who was originally from Ghana, relocated to Nigeria after studying in Saudi Arabia and became a lecturer at BUK.
He started delivering Hadith lessons at the BUK mosque in 1991 before he opened his Darul Hadith.
