Kano Emirate Council has cancelled this year Eid el-Kabir Durbar celebration.
The cancelation is due to the third wave of the COVID-19 and in compliance with the government directive, according to Madakin Kano, Alhaji Yusuf Nabahani.
Dateline Nigeria reports that Kano is among the states put on red alert by the federal government to stop the covid third wave during Eid el-Kabir celebration.
Katsina and Daura emirates have earlier cancelled the Sallah durbar.
