The Kano State Police Command has paraded 51 suspected phone robbers and drug pedders arrested in various parts of the state.
The suspects were paraded by the Kano police spokesman DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.
He said the arrests followed the directive of the State Commissioner of Police CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko.
One of the suspects, 21-year-old Kalifa of Kofar Mazugal, said he does not know the number of people he has injured while robbing them of their mobile phones.
He also confessed that he has been abusing drugs and engaging in street gang fighting.
“I have robbed uncountable number of people using knife. I have also injured uncountable number of people, especially those who tried to resist, but I have never killed anyone,” he said.
He also admitted injuring one of the policemen sent to arrested and throwing him into the stream.
The police spokesman said the suspects will all be arraigned in court after the conclusion of investigation as directed by the CP.
