
Katsina State Deputy Governor, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, has paid a get-well visit to the driver of former Defence spokesperson, retired Maj. Gen. Rabe Abubakar, who was abducted along with his wife by bandits on Matazu road.
The Deputy Governor visited the victim at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina, where he is currently receiving medical care. The driver, according to reports, escaped with gunshot wound.
During the visit, Malam Faruk Jobe commiserated with the patient and prayed for his speedy recovery. He reassured that the Katsina State Government remains committed to taking necessary measures to improve security and protect the lives and property of residents across the state.
He also commended security personnel for their efforts and urged members of the public to continue supporting security agencies by providing credible information that can help in the fight against terrorism and kidnapping.
