- Dr Radda names bosses for 3 other parastatals
Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, Ph.D, has approved the appointment of four heads of parastatals that would assist him in implementing his agenda for the state. Among those appointed are Malam Abba Zayyan, General Manager Katsina State Television KTTV, and Alhaji Abbah Dayyabu, General Manager Katsina State Radio Services.
Others are Dr. Salisu Abdullahi Ibrahim who is to head the Katsina State Islamic Education Bureau as its Executive Director and Alhaji Shafi Abdullahi who will head the Katsina State Library Board as its Executive Director, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed said in a statement..
Malam Abba Zayyan is a graduate of Education Technology from the Prestigious Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, he also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication from ABU and Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy as well as Masters of Philosophy in International Relations all from ABU Zaria. Malam Zayyan has worked in major radio stations in Nigeria culminating to his appointment as Zonal Director FRCN. Until his present appointment he was the Director Sports and Outside Broadcast. He comes with an experience spanning over three decades in the broadcasting industry.
Alhaji Abbah Dayyabu is a graduate of Mass Communication from. Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. He ako holds a Masters degree in Intemational Relations from ABU Zaria. A Professional radio broadcaster, Dayyabu career in the broadcast industry spanned two decades. He was a one-time caretaker Chairman of Safana Local government and until his present appointment he was the General Manager Katsina State Radio.
Dr Salisu Abdullahi Ibrahim, Executive Director Katsina State Islamic Education Bureau brings to bear his experience in Islamic education to this position. He is a graduate of Islamic education from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, and obtained a Master’s degree and PhD in Islamic Studies from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. Until his present appointment he was the Acting Director Islamic Education Bureau.
Alhaji Shafi Abdullahi, the new Executive Director Katsina State Library Board is expected to re-invigorate the library board and inculcate the reading culture in the state. He is a graduate of Al-Qalam University Katsina where he obtained his first degree in Islamic Studies and later obtained a masters in Islamic Studies from the same university. Abdullahi was until his appointment the Education Secretary Jibia Local Government.
Congratulating the new appointees, Governor Radda urged them to brace up as the task ahead
was enormous. He enjoined them to be proactive and work towards making Katsina state great.
He said ‘My doors are always open for any innovative ideas that would move the state forward”.
