Kebbi gov mourns chairman of primary healthcare agency

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has expressed deep sympathy about the death of Alhaji Salihu Attahiru Aliero (Dallatun Gwandu) and Chairman of National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA)

During a condolence visit to the family house in Aliero, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu described the exit of Salihu Attahiru Aliero as a loss not only to the family and Kebbi state but also to the nation in view of his contribution to the development of the society.

Late Salihu Attahiru Aliero worked with PZ Company, before venturing into politics, during which he served as Commissioner of Works, Water Resources and Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the administration of former governors, Muhammadu Adamu Aliero and Sa’idu Nasamu Dakingari.

Until his death, Alhaji Salihu Aliero was the Chairman of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Abuja.

His close friend and confidant, former Governor and incumbent Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero received Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu during the condolence visit to Aliero.

He passed-away this Thursday of an illness at the age of 64, leaving behind one wife, seven children and relations.

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu offered special prayer for the repose of his soul and God’s guidance for his family.

A three day Fidda’u prayer was held at his residence this Saturday in Aliero town where Islamic scholars led by Alhaji Muhammadu Magawata Aliero (Sa’in Gwandu), Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Sarkin Mallamai Aliero, Mallam Mohammed Bawale and Malam Altine Kalgo offered supplication to Allah to grant him mercy.

In attendance were Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu former Governor Muhammadu Adamu Aliero, GOC 8 Division of the Army, Sokoto, Major General Aminu Bande, Hon. Muhammad Umar Jega representing Jega, Aliero and Gwandu Federal Constituency, retired Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs, Abubakar Mallam Shatiman Gwandu, Deputy Speaker House of Assembly, Muhammadu Buhari Aliero, Prof. Bashir Ladan Aliero Vice Chancellor Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero, a delegation from the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency led by a Director, Mallam Abdullahi Buhari Liman, Local Government Chairmen, Traditional Rulers, District Heads, politicians and other personalities.

On his way back to the state capital Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu made a stop-over at Kalgo town to condole with the family of late Musa Kallamullah Umar Kalgo General Manager Kebbi State Environmental Protection Agency (KESEPA) who passed away on Wednesday of a protracted illness at the age of 60 at Federal Medical Centre Birnin Kebbi.

He left behind two wives, thirteen children and relations among whom is the former Permanent Secretary Ministry of Environment and Liaison Officer Abuja, Alhaji Mahmud Umar Kalgo.
