Kebbi Hisbah arrests four over immoral acts during Eid patrols

The Kebbi State Hisbah Board has arrested four people for allegedly planning immoral acts at Zinari Hotel in Birnin Kebbi during Eid patrols conducted on Wednesday.

The arrests were made under “Operation Tsaftace Birni da Kauye” — Operation Clean the City and Villages — launched to monitor conduct during the Sallah celebrations.

According to the board’s Media Team, Hisbah officers caught two men and two women at the hotel about to engage in indecent acts. After the arrest, the board contacted the parents of the two women and handed them over for further action.

In a separate incident on Bye Pass road, officers found a young man and a young woman from Zauro town secluded and talking. The man told Hisbah officials he intended to marry the woman and had taken her to visit a sick relative in Birnin Kebbi without her parents’ knowledge. Hisbah officers also contacted the woman’s parents and handed her over to them.

The board said it cautioned all those involved on the importance of maintaining good morals and adhering to Islamic teachings.

Hisbah stated that the patrols will continue throughout the Eid period to ensure public order and compliance with religious values.
