The Lagos State Government represented by the Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi inspects the newly completed Multi-Floor 60 Bed Femi Gbajabiamila General Hospital in Surulere ahead of official commissioning by His Excellency, Gov. Babajide Sanwoolu.
The state government commends the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila for facilitating the project.
This is one of the numerous legacy projects of Rt. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila during his tenure as Speaker of Nigeria’s House of Representatives.
The Femi Gbajabiamila General Hospital is a modern, multi-story hospital situated at Iyun road, off Funsho Williams Avenue, Surulere, Lagos constructed on 90 piles due to the soil conditions, situated on approximately 5,000 sqm of land. Previously a bungalow known as Hon Femi Gbajabiamila Primary Health Centre, demolished and fully upgraded to now boasts a 60-bed capacity spread across four floors, equipped with a 1no 8-passenger – 630kg lift and 1no Stretcher-1800kg lift.
Construction began with the demolition of the old bungalow structure on August 21, 2020.
