2027: Lalong pays homage to Long Kwo, seeks royal blessing

Senator Simon Bako Lalong (APC, Plateau South) has paid a visit to the Long Kwo of Kwo Nation, Amb. Yahaya Kwande, where he paid homage and sought royal blessings ahead of his Senate re-election bid.

During the visit, Senator Lalong appreciated the traditional ruler for his fatherly role in fostering peace, unity, and stability within Kwo Chiefdom since ascending the throne.

He also congratulated the nonagenarian monarch on the occasion of his 93rd birthday, describing him as a symbol of wisdom, resilience, and selfless service to humanity.

The senator reaffirmed his commitment to the development of Plateau South, noting that the support and prayers of traditional institutions remain vital to peace and meaningful progress across the constituency.

In the same vein, Senator Lalong visited the newly appointed Long Pan of Pan Chiefdom, His Royal Highness Jerome Leklat Goewam, to congratulate him on his ascension to the throne.

He prayed for a successful and impactful reign, urging the monarch to continue to promote peace, unity, and development within the Chiefdom.

In their separate remarks, both traditional rulers commended Senator Lalong for his passionate representation and unwavering commitment to the welfare of his constituents.

They noted that his track record in public service reflects genuine concern for the people and the overall development of the region.

The royal fathers offered their blessings and prayers for Senator Lalong, wishing him success in his future political aspirations.
