Finally, the former Head of Department (HOD) of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Kaduna Polytechnic Dr Ramatu Abarshi, her daughter Ameera and driver Suleiman Ibrahim, who were abducted in April, have all be released.
Dateline Nigeria reports that Ameera is the last to be released. Her mother regained her freedom about two weeks ago, their driver was also released few days back.

Mrs Abarshi, who is the widow of late Air Commodore A. Abarshi, her daughter Ameera and their driver Suleiman were abducted after distributing relief items to the less privileged under her NGO known as Barkindo Rahama Initiative (BRAIN).
The news of Ameera’s release was shared by Bauchi State Commissioner for Education Dr Aliyu Tilde on Tuesday, saying “Just in: Ameera, the daughter of Dr. Ramatu Abarshi, has been released. Help us with your prayers.”
Dateline Nigeria reports that Ameera is receiving medical attention.
The driver Suleiman Ibrahim had in a telephone conversation revealed how a nephew of Dr Ramatu Abarshi set her up for kidnapping by bandits. He also narrated how he and Dr Ramatu were almost killed by a bandit leader who threatened to take Ameera as sixth wife.
