Mr Manjang added that the hoodlums also “burnt some and killed some. They also destroyed the wooden bridge linking the community with others so as to make rescue effort difficult.”

The commissioner said 10 suspects have been arrested over the attack, adding that investigation has commenced.

He said people are living in fear, but authorities are appealing to them not to resort to violence.

According to him, the deputy governor is leading government officials to the community for on the spot assessment.

Dateline Nigeria reports that this is coming less than two weeks after Muslim travellers were killed while passing through Jos on their way back to Ondo State.
