Nafisa Abdullahi’s birth advice to parents generates controversy

Popular Kannywood actress Nafisa Abdullahi has generated controversy after calling on people to stop giving birth to children they know they are not capable of taking care of.

She made the call in a tweet via her verified Twitter handle @NafisatOfficial.

“Stop giving birth to children you know you’re not capable of taking care of.

“You see all the people giving birth to innocent children only to give them up for Almajiranci, and still continue producing more kids…”

Below is a sample of reactions to Nafisa’s tweets.

Engineer Faruq (@engrfaruq) said “I’m with you on this, giving birth to children that we can’t cater for is the bedrock of our problems in the North.”

Abdulkadir Ahmad (@B_Kirfii) said “Stop taking pictures half naked, perhaps Almighty Allah will help lessen the wrath you are drawing against us with your display on nudity.”

Suremind1435 abdul (@suremind1435ab1) said “Capability lies in the hand of the creator, just be sincere because even those with mammoth wealth give birth to one or two who never represent them well. Child upbringing is not all about money but manner and commitment.”

Abdullahi Usman Abba (@Usman_danjauro1) said “Very soon the campaign will change to stop getting married. It’s a process. The world is funny those who advise on things have no knowledge of it. Aunty go and marry and experience giving birth first before advising us. Madam adviser.”

M.M Dambatta (@M_Dambatta) said “Indeed, that’s why most of those children are on the streets begging. I’m still having it difficult to comprehend how a father will send his 5-year-old son to cater for himself all in the name of Almajiranci. This has to stop.”

Shamsiddeen Haruna J (@ShamsiddeenHJ) said “I think the vice versa should also be considered; If being taken care of matters a lot, I think you too you should waste no more time to get married and give birth too, because I know you can afford to take care of more than 10 children.”

Muhammed Hassan Tahir (@Hbusybrain) said “I don’t think the solution to the world problems, ranging from corruption to insecurity, is birth control but rather good upbringing and parenting.

Ismaila Dauda Sulaiman (@Princesammy2389) said “When the former Emir of Kano said it, many people spoke against him, but wallahi he said the truth!
