The paramount ruler of the Bachama Kingdom Dr. Daniel Ismaila Shaga has been presented with first class staff of office today Wednesday by Governor Unaru Ahmadu Fintiri.
Dr. Daniel Shaga Ismaila, (Kpawo Nemwe, Gilongo Diya) is the 29th Hama Bachama. He was appointed on July 27, 2020 a week after the death of Honest Irmiya Stephen, (Kwire Mana Kpafrato II).
Fintiri commended the kingmakers for ensuring a hitch free selection process and for selecting one of the best nominees.
He also thanked the four contestants for the throne who remained steadfast despite not realising their ambitions to rule the kingdom.
The governor urged them to sustain the tempo for the overall development of the kingdom.
He pledged his government’s support and commitment towards building eternal peace through the enthronement of justice and rule of law.
In his speech, the Hama Bachama who thanked the governor for his support and spiritedness towards the Bachama nation, pledged to work hand-in-hand with the government to ensure eternal peace between herders and farmers in the area.
Whil3 dismissing rumours of plot to sack herders from Bachama kingdom, the new monarch said “Frequent and regular dialogue between farmers and herders and between the leadership of farmers and herders and committed involvement of government and the security and peace reconciliation committee is paying off.”
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated Dr Shaga, considering his outstanding experience and qualifications of the eminent accountant.
President Buhari notes that following the retirement of Dr Shaga as Assistant Commander-General of Narcotics (ACGN) from the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in 1994, he devoted his time and energy not only to private practice as a Professional Accounting, Tax and Management Consultant, but more remarkably, evangelism, community service and humanitarian endeavours.
While urging the new monarch to build on the worthy legacies of peace, unity and development of his predecessor, the President recommends Dr Shaga’s commitment to excellence, probity and accountability to people of his domain in particular and all Nigerians in general.
As the prolific writer is enthroned as the 29th Hama Bachama, President Buhari wishes him a successful reign and divine protection.
