A Member, Niger State House of Assembly, representing Kontagora 1 Constituency, Hon Phalal Bako, has called for the immortalisation of the 6th Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora Alhaji Saidu Umaru Namaska.
Bako, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Finance, spoke today when the state legislators, in an emotional sitting, honored and paid tribute to late Alhaji Saidu Umaru Namaska.
“Today, 21st September 2021, I moved a motion on the floor of the Niger State House of Assembly calling on the Niger state government to immortalize the late Emir of Kontagora and Vice Chairman, Niger State Council of Chiefs; Alhaji Saidu Umaru Namaska.
“A minute silence was also observed in the house in his honor,” Bako said on his Facebook page.
