President Mohamed Bazoum of Niger Republic has vowed to dislodge the insurgents launching attacks in the southern part of his country neighbouring Nigeria.
President Bazoum was speaking on the third day of his visit to the region which has experienced attacks by gunmen since 2015.
He identified villages hosting Boko Haram insurgents, who have blocked access to the communities.
“We will order the dislodgement of the gunmen from those villages,” he said.
Bazoum added that a joint operation with Nigeria will eliminate the insurgents who launching attacks on both countries.
