As part of activities marking its 5th Anniversary, the NSCDC Female Squad combined celebration with service, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives and property while promoting community welfare in line with the vision and leadership of the Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR.
In a show of solidarity and inter-agency cooperation, members of the Squad distributed bags of rice, gari, and refreshments to personnel of the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force, and Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) stationed at various duty posts along the Abuja–Lokoja Expressway.
The gesture was aimed at appreciating the sacrifices of frontline officers who work tirelessly to ensure public safety and national security.
The Squad also extended its humanitarian outreach to residents of Ledi I, Ledi II, and Dobi communities in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, where food items and relief materials were distributed to vulnerable and less privileged members of the communities.
The outreach programme was made possible through the support of sponsors and partners, including the ARK Foundation, led by Barrister Mina, whose contributions significantly enhanced the success of the event.
The Squad also expressed profound appreciation to the Chaplaincy Unit for its guidance and support throughout the community visits.
The anniversary activities reflect the Squad’s dedication to service, compassion, community engagement, and operational excellence. Beyond commemorating a significant milestone, the initiative reinforced the ideals of people-centred service and community partnership championed by the Commandant General, while reaffirming the Squad’s enduring commitment to supporting fellow security personnel and improving the lives of the communities they serve.
