NSE confers fellowship honours on power minister Engr Sale Mamman

The minister of power Engr. Sale Mamman has been honored by the Nigerian Society of Engineers NSE with the fellowship of the society.

At the investiture held at the International Conference Center, Abuja, President of the NSE Babagana Mohammed described the modest achievements of the Hon minister in the last one year as reassuring and making the engineering profession proud.

He said the minister has demonstrated high level of professional competence in dealing with the multiple challenges of the power sector

In his speech the minister accepted the honour conferred on him by the Nigerian Society of Engineers, the apex professional body of Engineers in Nigeria.

“No doubt, this award means a lot to me, both as a professional Engineer and a public officer of the Federal Government. As a professional, it means the attainment of the highest status as an Engineer”.

“I also humbly view this award as an appreciation of my modest efforts in the performance of the power sector under President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR”

He attributed his achievements to the professional disciple inoculated in him as an engineer.

“You may agree with me that within the past one year we have not only improved power supply to between 18-24 hours daily but also continued to achieve peak distribution of electricity to about 5,5OOmw.”

To fully tackle the myriads of problem affecting the power sector, the minister welcomes useful advice from the Nigerian Society of Engineers and other related professionals.
