The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami) on Saturday inspected Federal Government’s National Data Centre under construction in Kano, Kano State.
The Tier 4 Data Centre with 41 terabytes memory capacity and 2.2 ventabytes storage capacity is being implemented by Galaxy backbone Ltd, an information technology and shared services provider of the FG under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
The FG has already established two Data centres, one in Abuja and the other in the South East. The project commenced in 2021 and is expected to be completed in Q1 this year.
Pantami said, “I am highly impressed with the quality of the work being done here, the power supply and the security of the area.”
