Vice President Kashim Shettima, former President Muhammadu Buhari and Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi on Thursday attended the turbanning ceremony of Alhaji Nasiru Danu as the new Sardauna of Dutse emirate.
Danu, a known name in the oil and gas industry and a philanthropist, is also a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)
Shettima, who was received by Governor Namadi on arrival at the Dutse airport, was the Special Guest of Honour at the ceremony which was graced by several other high-profile guests, including former Minister of Transport Rotimi Amaechi, and Emir of Daura Alhaji Faruk Umar Faruk
Dateline Nigeria reports that before his new appointment by the Emir of Dutse Muhammad Hameem Nuhu Sunusi, Alhaji Nasiru Danu held the title of Dan Amanar Dutse. He replaces Bello Maitama Yusuf who died in October 2023.
