The Nigeria Police Force said it has arrested four out of nine people accused of assaulting a young lady and destroying her restaurant in Maiduguri Borno State.
The lady Fadila Abdulrahman was attacked by the youths for allegedly defaming a member of the House of Representatives Engr Satomi Ahmed on Facebook.
A video of the assault was widely circulated on social media platforms.
The lawmaker Ahmed Satomi had disowned the youths, saying he had no connection to them whatsoever.
Dateline Nigeria reports that the video of the assault was condemned by many Nigerians.
