
The People’s Redemption Party (PRP) has conferred the title of ‘Magajin Balarabe Musa’ on one of the sons of the late politician who governed the old Kaduna State between 1979 and 1981.
Kassim Balarabe Musa, according to the chairmen of PRP in all the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State, was given the title for continuing on the political legacies of his great father.
The event held at the residence of the late politician on Aliyu Turaki Road, Kaduna.
In his message of appreciation, Kassim Balarabe Musa said “On behalf of myself and the late Balarabe Musa family, I write to express our deep gratitude and sincere appreciation of the great recognition accorded us by the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) family in Kaduna State.
“It is indeed a great honour to be conferred with the title of Magajin Balarabe Musa, which literary stands for the successor of the great political legacies of a larger than life personality. Stepping into the giant footprints of this great figure that had carved a niche in the struggle for the emancipation of the downtrodden is a herculean task to accomplish.
I wish to specially express my profound gratitude and appreciation to the PRP Local Government Chairmen Forum, Kaduna State, who deemed me worthy of being accorded this great recognition.
“My gratitude also goes to members of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) from far and wide who trooped in to attend this important event.
“To my media campaign team, I wish to thank you and appreciate your great efforts in seeing to the success of the event.
“I give thanks to all my friends, colleagues, neighbours and relatives who took time out of their tight schedules to grace the occasion.
“Finally, I wish to reassure all those who reposed in me the task of continuing with the political legacies of our great father, that I shall do my utmost best to continue on his path and shall embrace all as one family.
“The residence of the late sage shall remain open to all who share in his ideology and political beliefs and as it existed as mecca of sort to during his lifetime so shall it be now.”
