Gov. Dikko Radda of Katsina State has urged residents of Musawa Local Government Area to reciprocate President Bola Tinubu’s recognition of the community through their votes in the 2027 general elections.
Radda made the call on Friday during the Tinubu/Dikko 2027 Campaign Rally in Musawa, where he highlighted federal appointments given to indigenes of the area.
He particularly cited the appointment of the Minister of Art, Culture and Tourism, Hannatu Musa Musawa, as well as Muntaqa Jikamshi and other indigenes into strategic positions.
According to him, the appointments demonstrate the Federal Government’s recognition of Musawa and its people.
“President Tinubu has extended incredible recognition to Musawa. He has given this community a Minister and provided opportunities for several of its indigenes to serve in important positions,” he said.
The governor also commended the people for their support and urged them to sustain unity and cooperation ahead of the 2027 elections.
Earlier, the Minister, Hannatu Musa-Musawa, thanked the residents for their warm reception and called for sustained peace, unity and cooperation.
The Katsina State APC Chairman, Dr Bishir Gambo-Saulawa, commended party leaders and stakeholders for resolving internal differences through consensus.
He urged members to sustain the spirit of reconciliation as political activities towards the 2027 elections gathered momentum.
The Director-General of the Tinubu-Dikko 2027 Campaign Council, Ahmed Musa-Dangiwa, also commended residents for their turnout, describing the rally as part of the council’s engagement across the state’s 34 local government areas. (NAN)
