The National Moonsighting Committee Nigeria under the palace of the Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has said that the month of Shawwal has completed 30 days.
The committee said this followed the non-sighting of the Dhul Qadah crescent on Sunday, making Monday the 30th day of Shawwal.
A message posted by the committee on its twitter page added that Tuesday, June 23 will be equivalent to Dul Qadah 1, 1441 AH”.
It said the Sultan had approved the statement.
