The Sultan of Sokoto and President General, Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar has declared Thursday 30th June as the first day of Zul Hijjah.
According to the National Moonsighting Committee Nigeria, “Eidul Adha (festival of sacrifice) will be on Saturday, 10th Zul-Hijjah 1443H (9th July 2022).
“His Eminence, The Sultan hereby calls upon the Muslim Ummah to intensify efforts in acts of worship during the first ten days of the blessed month of Zul-Hijjah,” it added.
