
Political associates and supporters of Senator Simon Bako Lalong have purchased and presented a senatorial nomination form to him, urging him to recontest for the Plateau South Senatorial seat.
The presentation was made on behalf of the group by Hon. Sa’ad Bello, Commissioner representing Plateau State at the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
Hon. Sa’ad Bello explained that the nomination form was procured through contributions from supporters of the Senator across the six Local Government Areas of the Southern Zone, who are satisfied with his performance and are eager for him to continue providing quality representation.
He noted that the Southern Zone has witnessed significant progress under Senator Lalong’s leadership, citing improvements in infrastructure, appointments, and human capital development as key indicators of the dividends of democracy enjoyed by the people.
Responding, Senator Lalong described the gesture as deeply humbling, coming from constituents who have continued to demonstrate confidence in his leadership and service over the years.
He confirmed acceptance of the nomination form and reaffirmed his commitment to representing the people of the zone with passion, loyalty, and patriotism.
Senator Lalong expressed gratitude to all those who made sacrifices to purchase the form and assured them that he would not disappoint their expectations.
Some of the supporters present at the event included the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the North Central Development Commission, Dr. Cyril Yiltsen Tsenyil; former Deputy National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Festus Fuanter; former Chairman of the APC in Plateau State, Hon. Letep Dabang; and Member of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Alex Naantuam, among others.
