Sylva hails petroleum ministry staff, congratulates top directors on awards

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, has described staffers of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources as professional, top-notch, and exemplary.

He spoke at the occasion of the Federal Civil Servants Association of Persons with Disabilities (Ministry of Petroleum Resources Unit) at the NNPC Towers, Abuja.

Sylva, who was represented by his Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs, Julius Bokoru, described the awarded directors as fit, focused and deserving of their awards.

At the event, which was hosted at the Minister’s Boardroom, Sylva said, ‘I am very proud of this ministry, the Permanent Secretary, the members of staff, the directors, and everyone associated with this ministry.

“I am amazed by the high level of professionalism, devotion to work and national service that I see every day. It is amazing, and I am proud to be working with the best crop our nation’s civil service has to offer.

“I thank the people with disabilities in the Ministry for the massive job they have been doing, for the continuous progress, sacrifice, and service they have shown to this Ministry and to Nigeria. I appreciate this great body for their enormous work.

“I congratulate the awardees today, my very own directors, Dr. Famous Eseduwo, PhD, MSc, MPA, and Alhaji Ibrahim Suleiman. This is just a reflection of the work they have been doing, and on behalf of the Ministry I appreciate them’

The awardees were Dr. Famous Eseduwo, Director Human Resources of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, and Alhaji Ibrahim Suleiman, Director Finance and Accounts, Ministry Of Petroleum Resources.

Mr. Eseduwo thanked the Minister for his continued support and thanked the Persons with Disabilities Group in the Ministry. He also dedicated the award to God, his family, colleagues, and friends.

The elated Director of Finance and Accounts, Alhaji Suleiman, thanked the group for honouring him and praised the meticulousness of the Honourable Minister, the Permanent Secretary and members of staff of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.

The group was also marking 2021 Person’s With Disabilities Day.
