Tambuwal applauds automobile technicians for providing jobs

The National Automobile Technician Association in Nigeria (NATA) has been described as one of the greatest providers of employment to the people in the country.

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state stated this while receiving the association at the Council Chamber of Government House, Sokoto on Friday.

He said the association’s contributions to the national economic growth and its efforts to build bridges of unity have impacted positively on the development of the country

He said it is in recognition of these that his administration decided to establish a new mechanics village of international standard
for their operations, adding that two more of such are in the offing.

On skills acquisition programme the governor charged the association to come up with a proposal on how they want government to support them, noting that with the current situation of economic challenges, many youths need to be empowered.

In his remarks, the state chairman of NATA Alhaji Ahmadu Umar thanked the governor for his immense support and cooperation to the association.

He also commended him for executing various developmental projects across the state, stating that the gesture will go along way in boosting socio-economic development of the state.

The association conferred the title of National Grand Patron on the Governor.
