Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Umaru Radda, has approved the appointment of Dr. Tanimu Yakubu Kurfi, as Board Chairman for Katsina State Development Management Board (KTDMB).
Dateline Nigeria reports that the appointment of Kurfi, who served as the Chief Economic Adviser to late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, was disclosed in a statement by Governor Radda’s Chief Press Secretary Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed on Friday.
The Katsina State Development Management Board is to be responsible for coordinating all development and related activities in the state. The board will also ensure all ministries, departments and agencies are aligned with the state development objectives.
Born in Kurfi, Katsina State, on Sunday the 30th of April, 1961, Tanimu Yakubu, while serving as Chief Economic Adviser to Yar’Adua, was a member of the National Economic Management team from 2007 to 2010.
Tanimu Yakubu was also Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Mortgage Bank from 2003 – 2007.
