The Gara-Donga is the First Class Chief of the Chamba people in Donga Local Government Area of Taraba State.
The event was witnessed by dignitaries, including former Minister of Defence, retired Lt. General Theophilus Danjuma.
Governor Ishaku had in June 2020 approved the appointment of then Prince Sanvala Varzoa Shimbura as the new Gara Donga.
The new Gara was selected by the kingmakers of Donga traditional Council and ratified by the State Council of Chiefs in line with laid down procedure on the appointment of Chiefs and Emirs.
