How true are our people and their wise sayings as SARS is dead but in its place has now come SWAT. Now wags are saying that the new SWAT stands for the following: ‘Special Wickedness and Advance Terror’ and ‘SARS With Advance Tactics’.
More sinister acronyms from the ever-inventive Nigerians are certainly going to come out in the coming days which will show that the SARS problem has merely just changed name.
For me, I am amazed that the IGP has ordered former SARS members to come to Abuja for a psycho-medical examination. What examination? Those people are known to be psychos that is why people have called for their disbandment and they have been so disbanded. Why call for their re-examination?
What has happened between last week and yesterday that anyone will think something fundamental has changed in their psychological make-up for them to be considered okay to be posted somewhere else? The butcher is dead. Long live his knives!
