The University of Abuja has announced the death of Prof Adakole Oklobia of the Department of Theatre Arts.
Prof Oklobia died on Monday in a car accident in Abuja, the university said in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
Dateline Nigeria reports that Prof Adakole Oklobia was slated to take part in the 4th Stakeholders meeting of the National Gallery of Art today.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of Professor Adakole Oklobia of the Department of Theatre Arts.
“Oklobia died yesterday in a car crash in Abuja.
“The University community has lost an erudite and very friendly scholar.
“Our heartfelt condolences to his loved ones. We pray that God gives the family the fortitude to bear this great loss. Adieu great Thespian!,” it said.
