The Chairman Senate Committee on Defence, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has advised Nigerian students to shun acts that are capable of tarnishing their image as well as truncate their studies.
Senator Aliyu Wamakko was speaking when he received the caretaker executives members of the Student Union Government of the Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto who paid him courtesy visit at his Sokoto residence on Sunday.

The Senator who also advised them to pay attention to their studies, also called on them to always be trustworthy in order to make Nigeria great as they are future leaders.
The former Governor of Sokoto State reassured his readiness in assisting the youth to further their education.
Earlier in his address, the President of the caretaker committee, Malam Shamsudden Umar explained that they were at Senator’s residence to pay him a thank you visit for his efforts in ensuring that the youth acquire sound education.
He described Senator Wamakko as the father of Nigerian youth who is always committed in ensuring they become useful to the society.
The president later presented the award of recognition to Senator Wamakko for his contribution to the development of education.
