Kaduna State Ministry of Health has urged the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) stop lumping together figures from different days and presenting them as a one-day caseload.
The ministry was reacting to the figure given on Thursday by the NCDC which suggested that Kaduna recorded 85 cases in a single day.
It said the cases are 21 for 10 Dec 2020 and 64 for 9 Dec 2020, making 85 cases over two days.
“The Kaduna State Ministry of Health continues to engage the NCDC about not lumping together figures from different days and presenting them as a one-day caseload,” it said.
Governor Nasir el-Rufai had on Wednesday said his government is considering several options to manage the rising cases of Covid-19 infections in the state.
The governor expressed concern that infection rates are now hovering between 20% and 35%.
He said if people refused to wear masks and observe social distancing,”we will consider locking down the state once again.”
