A woman has given birth to quadruplets, all female, at a hospital in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to one of the health workers who delivered the babies, Hajiya Kulu, the woman was thought to be carrying triplets initially based on the results of the scanning she did.
But when she have birth to three babies, it was noticed that she was still carrying another baby and she eventually gave birth to the fourth baby.
The health worker said all the four babies and the mother were in sound condition, but there is the need to keep the babies in incubators which the hospital does not have at the moment.
She added that the parents were also poor.
The father of the quadruplets, Mallam Is’haqa Isa, told the BBC that he is grateful to Allah for blessing him with the babies.
He however asked for help from the public saying he does not have even N5,000 and that he is jobless in addition to living with disability.
