A High Court in Kano State, under Justice A.T. Badamasi has sentenced a housewife Rashida Muhammad to death by hanging for killing her husband in February last year in Dorayi part of Kano.
Rashida was said to have pushed her husband Adamu Ali to death from the stairs after suspecting him of talking on the phone with his girlfriend.
She had reportedly struggled with him in an attempt to seize the phone from him, police said at the time.
Ali was confirmed dead at the Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
