The Special Adviser to Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum on Media and Strategy Isa Gusau has passed on
Gusau, a media and Public Relations practitioner, died after a brief illness in India on Thursday, family sources confirmed to Dateline Nigeria.
He was in June 2023 reappointed by Zulum after serving him during his first term from 2019 to 2023. Gusau had earlier served Zulum’s predecessor Kashim Shettima as spokesman for eight years (2012 to 2019).
Gusau worked as a journalist with Daily Trust from 2003 until he resigned as North East Bureau Chief/Deputy Editor in March 2012 to become the spokesman of Shettima.
He is survived by a wife, three children and many siblings.
