16 APC members-elect of Plateau assembly visit Lalong as A’Court rejects PDP motion

Sixteen Plateau House of Assembly APC members-elect yet to be sworn in by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Dewan have visited Senator Simon Bako Lalong at his office in the National Assembly Abuja.

They visited him shortly after the Court of Appeal rejected the motion of the sacked PDP members who sought a review of their sack through their lawyer, Garba Pwul, SAN.

The Court of Appeal dismissed their appeal describing it as a waste of judicial time and fined each of them the sum of 8 million naira.

The 16 APC law makers said they were at the national assembly to thank Senator Lalong for his leadership of the party in the state as well as his encouragement, counsel and ability to carry everyone along.

They said as law abiding people, they have remained calm and obeyed the judicial system despite attempts to provoke them and their supporters.

Responding, Senator Lalong thanked them for the visit and said he was happy that the Court has reaffirmed its earlier decision which puts to rest the delay in their swearing in.

He urged them to continue to remain focused in serving the people and avoid any act that would be inimical to the development of the State and growth of democracy.
