2024 Hajj: NAHCON approves license for 58 tour operators, 97 disqualified

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has approved operational license for 58 private Hajj tour operators to allow them register and participate in the 2024 Hajj exercise.

Hajj Operators approved so far include Asan Travels and Tours, Al Khauthar Travels and Tours, Whitebird Tourism Ltd, Firdausi Transport Services Ltd, Habdat Express Travels Ltd, Amami Global Links Ltd.

In the same vein, the commission has disqualified 97 companies owing to various infractions and failure to deposit the N25 million mandatory fees.

However, NAHCON said the disqualified companies can appeal for review within 72 hours from the day of the release of the list.

A letter of approval dated 19th November and signed by Assistant Director Tour Operators, Ahmad Muhammad Shira, which was seen by Independent Hajj Reporters, said “ I am directed to forward the list of qualified and non qualified companies for 2024 Hajj License and please note that all disqualified companies may wish to appeal by addressing a letter to the Ag. Chairman/CEO National Hajj Commission of Nigeria.

The commission also stated that the letter of appeals should reach the commission not later than 8am of Tuesday, 21st November 2023.
