A group has appealed to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to pick its 2027 gubernatorial candidate from Bauchi Local Government, adding that the immediate past Secretary to the Bauchi State Government Barrister Ibrahim.Kashim has all it takes to become the next Governor in 2027.
Spokesman of the youths, Barrister Ibrahim Kashim Initiative, Adamu M Abdullahi said this today in Bauchi, when he addressed a press conference.
He said “We endorsed the statement made by our revered elder statesman and political expert, Alhaji Garba Mohammed Noma (Jarman Bauchi). His timely and insightful call for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to present a gubernatorial candidate from Bauchi Local Government for the 2027 elections is not just a political appeal but a clarion call for equity, meritocracy, and sustainable development in our dear state.”
He said “This advocacy is not rooted in ethnic, tribal, or zonal considerations but rather in the need to harness the immense reservoir of competence, vision, and leadership that Bauchi Local Government has to offer. As a state, we must move beyond geographical biases and embrace a governance structure that prioritizes excellence, integrity, and service to the people.
