In keeping with the parliamentary convention in Nigeria’s National Assembly, done in honour of a deceased Member, the House of Representatives suspended activities at the resumed plenary in honour of a deceased Member, Rep. Isa Dogonyaro who represented Babura/Garki Federal Constituency of Jigawa State in the Tenth National Assembly.
Before adjournment, a moment of silence was observed by members in honour of the late lawmaker.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen PhD, also introduced members of the late Isa Dogonyaro’s family, who were present in the gallery to observe the plenary.
Rep. Dogonyaro, died on Friday, May 10, 2024 following a brief illness, and has since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
